De Vere Horsley Estate new reopening

A secret 19th-century underground tunnel with links to Ada Lovelace has reopened at De Vere Horsley Estate, in Surrey, bringing a hidden chapter of British history back into the spotlight. The investment in the tunnel follows a £1.3m refurbishment project that was recently completed at the hotel. Michael Micallef, General Manager commented: "Reopening this tunnel is a way to celebrate both the rich history of De Vere Horsley Estate and the remarkable legacy of Ada Lovelace.
